SAPP Sri Lanka has earmarked another milestone by signing a Public Private Producer Partnership (4P) Agreement with Sustainable Agriculture and Farmer Entrepreneurs Foundation (SAFE Foundation) to promote Green Chili Cultivation activities among 1200 small scale producers in Nochchiyagama, Medawachchiya and Rambewa DSDs of Anuradhapura District.
The Proposed project is to increase productivity of green chili cultivation and farm income by 30%. SAPP assistance will be provided to the member farmers and for the Promoter Organization. Selected 1,200 farmers will prepare 1,000m2 of Land for chili cultivation. 4480 MT of green chilies produced per season by 1100 farmers and linked to export market and 100 farmers engaged in Dry chili production and produce 6 MT of dry chilies per season.
