The objective of this programme is to increase the incomes of farm owners and especially landless youths by 20-30% through a combination of better prices for farmers, increased farm productivity and value addition to processed farm products

01. Strive for economic development that positively impacts the society at large with minimal resource footprint.

02.Embrace responsibility for the program’s actions and encourage a positive impact through its activities on poverty, malnutrition, environment, communities, stakeholders and the society

NADeP subscribes to the approach of sustainable agriculture as consisting of three aspects:

Economic aspect: Project must provide sufficient financial reward to rural farmers, enable them to make a decent living, encourage production and conservation of the environment.

Protected Environment

Environmental aspect: Project should minimize the use of non-renewable resources, replenish tapped resources, protect and enhance the environment and natural resources.

Prosperous communities

Societal aspect: Agriculture should contribute to thriving and viable local communities, to economic and social development, including the provision of healthy food.

* Existing rights to land and associated natural resources are recognized and respected.

* Investments do not jeopardize food security but rather strengthen it.

* Processes for accessing land and other resources and then making associated partnerships are transparent, monitored, and ensure accountability by all stakeholders, within a proper business, legal, and regulatory environment.

* All those materially affected are consulted, and agreements from consultations are recorded and enforced.

* All stakeholders ensure that projects respect the rule of law, reflect industry best practice, are viable economically, and result in durable shared value.

* Projects to generate desirable social and distributional impacts and do not increase vulnerability.

* Environmental impacts due to a project are quantified and measures taken to encourage sustainable resource use while minimizing the magnitude of negative impacts and mitigating them.
