Objective - To provide sustainable livelihood for crop farming families in Goonagala village through commercial oriented turmeric production
This is a farmer organization-led 4P value chain project introduced by Goonagala Agriculture Productivity Village Co-Op Society. The project aims at increasing accessibility to finance, input market and high end market for end products. The farmer organization functions as a social enterprise where profit is shared among the members of the organization.

Project activities and benefits
• Arrange affordable credit facility (Rs. 40,000) at 6.5% interest rate and a grant facility, worth of Rs. 161,700 and to make the farmers bankable
• Construction turmeric processing unit including of wood stove and solar dryer
• Establish sustainable linkages with reliable market and other value adding market organizations
• Strengthen the farmer organization to become a social enterprise
• Provide technical training, exposure visit, and extension support
• Train the beneficiaries on basic financial literacy and household budget management
• Train the farmers on nutrition, gender, solid waste management and environment conservation climate change and mitigation
Youth empowerment
Promote youth by providing credit and grant facility to construction of 06 production units to produce seed /planting materials
